The outsole decides

A shoe has two halves. Everyone talks about the top one.

The bottom half decides grip, cushioning, and how long the pair lasts. All three come from the rubber. Lose one and the whole shoe is disqualified, however good the upper is.

That bottom half is our business. We started there because it's the hard part.

What OKTARA is

A compound, engineered to a target

Outsole rubber is never a raw material. It's always a blend, built to hit a precise target: grip, abrasion resistance, rebound, hardness, behaviour on release from the mould.

OKTARA™ starts from regenerated post-consumer elastomers and is formulated against your spec.

Performance comes from the formulation. We formulate against a target, batch after batch.

Rubber back into rubber

Recovered rubber usually finds a home somewhere less demanding. A softer application, a lower bar.

Ours goes back where it came from. Shoe rubber becomes shoe rubber. Same application, same requirements, same manufacturing process.

That's the difference between finding a use for a material and keeping it in its own loop.

Howthe performanceis made

Five steps, from an end-of-life shoe to a compound your factory can mould. Each one is where a lesser material loses its properties.

Over 3,000 end-of-life products analysed and sorted into qualified categories. Every batch is registered from intake. We know exactly what goes into the line, and so do you.

Already onthe market

A material innovation that asks a factory to change its tooling stays a prototype. This one went into production.

Veja and Decathlon run OKTARA™ today. Not pilots, references coming off standard lines and sitting in stores.

TRACE

Look closely at the compound and you'll see specks in the material.

They're the only things in that outsole that have already run.

We could smooth them out. We keep them, and that's a decision. Grain on film, figure in wood: proof that something real existed before.

Performance has memory.

Compliance

Cleared for your spec sheet

REACH-compliant. LCA and toxicology verified. Traceable from intake through delivery, batch by batch.

Engineered to match virgin rubber on spec, at competitive cost on the measured case.

Made in Bourg-en-Bresse, France. Designed, processed and looped in Europe.

Circularity

The loop is already running

Up to 70% regenerated content in the rubber fraction, on the Veja loop. Today, on shoes people are wearing.

Choose OKTARA™ because it holds your spec. The loop comes with it.

Here, circularity is a production standard rather than a promise.

Tell us the outsole you're building and the spec it has to hold. We'll come back with a compound target and a sample route.

Samples ship from France. We support your manufacturer through validation.
